sewing room progress

I've been slowly pecking along on my sewing room re-do over the past month, and I am happy to say that it is almost done now.  Yay!  I finished painting the walls last weekend.  The color is Pinedale Shores by Behr, and I love it like crazy.

I also sewed some new curtains for the closet doorways, recovered a stool, painted a spool rack, and refinished a mirror.  The mirror was originally boring brown, so I painted it black and then glued strips from a vintage tape measure around the edge to dress it up a little.  It's nothing fancy, but I think it adds a fun little touch to the sewing theme of my room.

Now I just need to sew a valance for the window and hang a few more things on the walls and then my happy little sewing room will be complete.

So cute! What a great sewing space. I have a room that now houses boxes that will someday be a sewing room, and it is very inspiring to see other people's lovely sewing rooms.

Your room is beautiful. So tranquil, I am afraid my is quite messy, no matter how many times I organise. After seeing yours I think a lick of paint and putting things back carefully. May do the trick. Not sure how long that would last thou.

I don't have a special room I could devote just to sewing, alas--the configuration of my home and attendant costs prohibit that. But I love the way you are decorating your special space--it's unique, but tasteful! Thanks for sharing the photos with all of us.

It looks wonderful! You are so creative to make the sewing themed frame for the mirror, I love it!

Sewing room progress is the best, and it provides us with what we need to know. There are people who are using it to get the desired solutions. Also, the In Effect Electrical is the best for many people using it to get the right results.
